Katie does a guided improvisational warmup using concepts from Fullstop Dance Company and from her training at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. She pushes dancers to feel movement and not just see shapes being made. Then following light footwork and lower body foundations, students move across the floor working every aspect of their bodies and getting a strong cardo workout as well. The last part of class plays with choreographic phrases that often reference concepts taught at the beginning of class. Overall this is an athletic, creative class suitable for intermediate and professional dancers alike.
